Dr Peter BugryniecErik is a Research Associate in Process Systems Engineering at the University of Sheffield, focusing on the development of process and economic models at both unit and plant level. His current research focuses on the modelling and optimization of processes for the manufacturing of inorganic materials, particularly those relevant to the battery industry.
He has experience in modelling hydrogen production systems. During his PhD, he worked on the modelling of a reactor concept for hydrogen synthesis with in-situ carbon capture. He also collaborated with AspenTech on the development of process models for alkaline and PEM water electrolysis technologies. His research interests include the integration of Machine Learning and Uncertainty Quantification techniques within Process Systems Engineering, with the aim of improving model reliability and supporting decision-making in emerging energy and materials processes. Key Topics: Process modelling, technoeconomic analysis |
