Dr Farshid BabaeiDr Babaei is a research associate in vaccine manufacturing supply chains with a background in ontological engineering and programming. His interests are in conceptualisation and multi-scale management of integrated networks in diverse applications including manufacturing supply chains and interdependent process and energy systems.
His current research focuses on developing computational tools for planning and the formulation of regional policy for the vaccine manufacturing hub in South East Asia (UK-SEA Vax Hub). This involves leveraging agent-based models and tools to understand the performance of the existing vaccine supply chains and their resilience to shocks in demand and supply. Applying these, we can capture the dynamic behaviour of the supply chain in response to local demands, and optimise the operational and expansion plans in the context of an international system. Key Topics: Vaccine Supply Chains, Resilience Strategies, Agent-Based Systems |
